Special traffic plan near Kochchikade church tomorrow

Colombo, April 20 (Daily Mirror) - A special traffic management plan will be implemented around St. Anthony’s Shrine tomorrow (April 21, 2026) to facilitate religious observances marking the seventh anniversary of the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.

According to the police, the traffic plan will come into effect from 7:00 a.m. and remain in force until the conclusion of the memorial service. During this period, vehicle movement on roads surrounding the church will be restricted or diverted depending on the flow of devotees and security requirements.

Police have requested the public and motorists to use alternative routes and exercise patience to avoid delays.
