Special security program for cargo at BIA amid postal strike

Colombo, August 22 (Daily Mirror) - Aspecial security program is being developed to safeguard cargo waiting at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) due to the ongoing postal strike, Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation announced.

Deputy Minister Janitha Ruwan Kodituwakku has instructed the relevant departments to take immediate measures to ensure the protection of goods. Accordingly, a comprehensive program is being formulated to strengthen security arrangements for cargo at the Katunayake Airport.
