Special New Year open visits arranged for prisoners
Colombo, April 11 (Daily Mirror) - The Prisons Department has announced special open visits for inmates on April 13 and 14 to mark the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, Prisons Commissioner and Media Spokesman Gamini B. Dissanayaka said.
During these two days, each prisoner will receive a food parcel, a parcel of sweets and a parcel of hygiene products from their relatives. The visits will take place at all prison institutions across the island, following all necessary health guidelines.
