Speaker tells Acting IGP to beef up security of all MPs

Colombo, Feb 21 (Daily Mirror) - Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne today announced that he has requested the Acting IGP to take steps to ensure the security of all MPs.

The Speaker said this following a request by Opposition MPs on ensuring their security.

No one, but the mentally weak have any beef with government MPs. However, the opposition MPs are old timers often being in parliament more than 10 years. They have stolen so much, and been so crooked, public despises them. Let them fall, and country will be better off. There are a dozen replacements whenever a MP dies of natural causes already. No loss to the public, when Opposition MP is replaced

If MP's have not been working with the underworld or not corrupted they do not have to be afraid of nothing. No one will want to shoot or murder harmful people. You created the underworld and now they are coming after you. So pay and get private security.
