Speaker confronts Opposition MPs over supplementary questions

Colombo, June 11 (Daily Mirror) - Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne today confronted Opposition MPs over raising supplementary questions where he accused them of violating Standing Orders. 

"You have to base your supplementary questions on the main question. MPs do not understand this fact," he said. 

The issue popped up when MP Ravi Karunanayake questioned the privatisation of Lanka Hospitals.
