Some candidate lists for LG poll still remain incomplete: EC

Colombo, August 21 (Daily Mirror) - The Election Commission announced that some candidate lists for the May 6 local government election still remain incomplete and unsubmitted.

Commission Chairman R.M.A. Rathnayake issued a notice stating that some registered political parties and independent groups, who had been elected- have yet to fully provide their candidate names for various local government authorities.

The commission also emphasized that these lists must be submitted by an officially authorized person from each party or group, and that it was their duty as contesting candidates.
