Colombo, Jan 29 (Daily Mirror) - Somali Navy Abdi Warsame Osman has contacted the European Union Joint Operation Centre to secure the release of the Sri Lankans abducted by the Somali pirates, an official said.

When contacted by Daily Mirror, Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Kenya Kana Kananathan said that he along with his colleague in Ethiopia is actively engaged in a close collaboration with the Navy Chief of Somalia to secure the safe release of Sri Lankan nationals who were abducted by Somali pirates.

According to Mr. Kananathan, the Somali Navy Chief has informed the European Union Navy Joint Operation Centre through their Liaison Officer about the ongoing efforts to address the situation and ensure the safe return of the abducted Sri Lankans.

“The collaborative efforts between the Sri Lankan and Somali authorities demonstrate a commitment to maritime security and the safety of individuals affected by acts of piracy. Kananathan said, the governments of Sri Lanka and Somalia remain dedicated to resolving this matter swiftly and ensuring the well-being of the abducted Sri Lankan individuals,” he said.

European Union Navies or the American Navy are not going to “ waste” their time in hunting the Somali pirates who kidnapped the Sri Lankan fisherman. These Western Navies have no respect for the Non-Whites, they are only interested in protecting their own economic interests and their own White People. Had these fishermen were White then these Navies would have gone into total action mode to rescue the White fishermen. This is part of the sad situation for all the Non Whites on this planet . But he Christian converts in Sri Lanka are living a “false life” of denial of the contempt the Whites have for the non whites.

You must be very disappointed, but in fact is the EU will join the rescue mission. China is keeping very quiet, although they have a navy base in Mogadishu. In my little country the citizens are from almost 200 different origins. Isn't that great? I am mixed race by the way, Surinam father.

The pirates bring income to Somalia, so the Somali government has long ignored about them. The Somali Navy just wash their hands of the matter. Our diplomatic staff are all spinning their vehicle/diplomatic tires, but no getting anywhere.

Listen you dumb-ass; I don’t think you qualify for the more intellectual description of moron. Whilst your assessment of the importance of the Sri Lankan fisherman on the Western “food chain” is spot-on, your inferiority complex is on display. Most Western nations will always look after their own interests with little regard to the hue of competing or conflicting nations. Sunak and his Immigration minister are of Indian ancestry, yet, are the most vocal about reducing Indian migration to Britain. As for Christian converts in Sri Lanka suffering the “contempt of Whites”, perhaps you should elaborate more. If you view generosity as contempt, that is a reflection of the poisonous thoughts of your septic brain.

This was a mission to collect drugs gone wrong. The money, boat, men and drugs are now in possession of the Somali gangs

Ranil the terrified president Monday, 29 January 2024 12:28 PM

When they got to know that they were from bankrupted Sri Lanka, the pirates have given some money and fed the starving fisherman.

Tinpot president and his senile thoughts Monday, 29 January 2024 12:35 PM

Another excuse for the pin pot president to go on a junket to Ethiopia.

    Steve Monday, 29 January 2024 12:36 PM

President will send the Sri Lankan Navy to rescue them.

Our navy should be involved not far away Europeans Monday, 29 January 2024 12:37 PM

We don't even have an High Commission in Somalia. Better just to contact Somilia from Colombo about this, rather than get Kenya High Commission involved. The fisherman won't be freed until powerful Navy vassals scare the pirates. If Europeans can't be bothered about Somali pirates, so our government must send own Navy ship. Somali Navy already wash there hands asking for Europeans help, but our people are not even EU citizens so what is the point?

Somali Navy Chief doesn't care asks overseas lot to help Monday, 29 January 2024 01:52 PM

Pathetic the Somali Navy Chief cannot do anything about the citizens of his country committing crime in the sea. He cares so little about Sri Lankans he just ask another third party foreign group for help.

    Typical Monday, 29 January 2024 03:40 PM

    Somali pirates veeee!
