Skeletal remains found in abandoned house at Naiwala

Colombo, Sept. 3 (Daily Mirror) - A bag containing four human skulls and skeltal remains had been found by the Veyangoda police from the garage of an abandoned house in the Naiwala area.

Investiations revealed that a doctor had purchased the house and land about five years ago and that he had been living elsewhere.

The Grama Niladhari’s office had been located in a room adjoining the garage. The Grama Niladhari had noticed the bag containing skeletal remains and informed police.

Attanagalla Magistrate Manjula Karunaratne who visited the scene and held the preliminary magesterial inquiry ordered police to refer the skulls and skeletal remains to the JMO Watupitiwala base hospital for examination and report.

Weyangoda police are conducting further investigations.
