The Sri Lanka Foreign Employement Agency (SLFEA) has announced 200 vacancies in the Singapore auxilary police for Sri Lankans.
According to a notice issued by the SLFEA, walk-in interviews for these vacancies will be held at the SLFEA office in Nawala today (16) and tomorrow (17).
Applicants are requested to complete application forms, accessible online at https://forms.gle/8DzuH5LUooxg4czE6, and bring their Certificate of Advanced Level or IELTS along with their passport for the interview.

Auxiliary Police Officers do not need to spend on accommodation, transport or food in Singapore. Everything is provided for them from the employer. Majority of the income will be savings for them to send back to their families unless the officers decide to go out and spend on their off days.

The majority of active police officers in Sri Lanka in the requested age group would not meet the basic conditions. However, a minimum salary of LKR 600,000 would be necessary in Singapore, even with free accommodation.

One Singapore $ is even higher than Australian dollar. Food is relatively cheap in Singapore. If accommodation is free, $2,000 Singapore dollar per month is not that bad. It is a very safe country and is much better than slave factories and ill disciplined Middle East. Proficiency in English is required. This shows how SL went downhill with foolish politicians abandoning English and now people finding hard to find a job without English. SL university graduates are in the same boat.
