Showers expected in several provinces, strong winds forecast in several areas

Colombo, July 15 (Daily Mirror) - The Meteorological Department has forecast a few showers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts during the next 36 hours.

According to the general weather forecast issued at 4.00 p.m. today (15), mainly dry weather is expected to prevail in other parts of the island.

The department warned that strong winds of around 40–50 kmph could occur at times over the Northern, North-Central and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Matale, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
