Showers expected in several places

A Colombo, Dec. 25 (Daily Mirror) - few showers are expected in the Uva Province and in the Ampara, Batticaloa, Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts, the Meteorology Department said.

The Department said showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Sabaragamuwa Province and in the Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts after 2.00 p.m. 

Fairly heavy falls above 50 mm are likely at some places, it said.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces and in the Kalutara, Badulla, Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.
