Showers expected at several places

There will be multiple periods of showers in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the districts of Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara, according to the Meteorology Department.

The North-Western province may also experience a few showers. In the evening or night, there is a possibility of showers or thundershowers in some areas of the Uva province and the Ampara and Batticaloa districts.

However, for the rest of the island, the weather will mainly be fair.

Meanwhile, there will be fairly strong winds, reaching approximately 40 kmph, in the western slopes of the central hills, the Northern and North-Central provinces, and the Monaragala, Hambantota, and Trincomalee districts.
