Shooting injures one in Weliweriya
Colombo, March 14 (Daily Mirror) - A person was injured in a shooting incident at the Araliyagasdeka Junction in Weliweriya last night (13), police said.
The injured individual was admitted to the Gampaha District General Hospital for treatment.
According to reports, the shooting targeted a man travelling in a car. He sustained a gunshot wound to his left hand but continued driving to the hospital without stopping.
Police suspect that two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle carried out the attack using a pistol-type firearm.
Three police teams are currently investigating into the incident.
