Shooting in Ambalangoda: Murder suspect injured

Colombo, Sept. 9 (Daily Mirror) - A group of individuals travelling in a three-wheeler on Heenatiya Road in Ambalangoda came under gunfire in a shooting incident.

Police said the shots were fired by two unidentified gunmen who arrived at the scene on a motorcycle. 

One person was injured in the shooting and was admitted to hospital.

Investigations revealed that the main suspect in the shooting of former cricketer Dhammika Niroshana was injured in the shooting.

He came under attack while returning home after attending court over the shooting of a former cricketer.
