Sexual assault on female doctor: GMOA threatens TU action

Colombo, March 11 (Daily Mirror) - In the wake of the alleged sexual assault on a female doctor at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital, the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has issued an ultimatum to the government demanding the immediate arrest of the suspect involved in the incident.

In a statement, the GMOA stated that authorities must apprehend the suspect by tomorrow (12), warning that failure to do so would result in a province-wide strike across the North Central Province.

Earlier today, doctors at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital staged a protest condemning the incident and calling for swift justice.

What a pathetic union. Just give some time to the police to apprehend the suspect. GOMA union thinks they are above all. They are looking for any reason to strike.
