Sexual assault of female doctor: Suspect detained for questioning
Colombo, March 13 (Daily Mirror) - The suspect apprehended in connection with the sexual assault of a female doctor at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital has been ordered to be detained for 48 hours for further questioning.
The decision was made after the suspect was presented before the Anuradhapura Magistrate’s Court.
In addition, the suspect’s sister and another individual, who were arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting the suspect, have been remanded until March 17.
The orders were issued by Anuradhapura Chief Magistrate Nalaka Sanjeewa Jayasuriya.
