Severe lightning and thundershowers forecast

Colombo, Feb. 4 (Daily Mirror) - Thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are expected in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts, according to the Meteorological Department said.

They warned that temporary, localized strong winds may occur during thundershowers. 

The general public has been advised to take necessary precautions to reduce the risk of damage caused by lightning activity.
