Seven including gangster ’Parippuwa’s’’ sibling arrested in Dematagoda

Seven suspects including the brother of organized criminal Kolonnawa Lakmal alias ' Parippuwa' have been arrested by the STF over assault on individual and several other crimes during a raid in Dematagoda.

Police said the suspects were wanted over hacking and causing serious injuries to an individual at Laksiru Sevana Housing complex in Colombo 10. The suspects were handed over to the Dematagoda Police.

The STF also recovered three swords and a machete. 

It was revealed that Parippuwa's brother wanted over a shooting incident at Kotahena on January 20, 2019 where a person had died when he was shot while travelling in a three wheeler.

Also, the suspects were wanted over intimidating persons, hijacking motorbikes and stealing gold jewelries.

The arrested are aged between 18 and 31 were identified as residents of Wellampitiya, Dematagoda and Weligama.
