Second doses of Sinopharm to begin from June 8
The second doses of the Sinopharm vaccines will begin to be administered from June 8, exactly a month after the first doses began to be administered, Army Commander General Shavendra Silva told Daily Mirror.
Silva said that the second dose of the Sinopharm vaccines required to be administered four weeks apart, and those who received the first jabs were expected to note their dates and visit the same centers they were inoculated, according to their corresponding dates.
For example, those who received their first injections on May 8 would receive their second doses on June 8 while those who were jabbed on May 9 would receive their second doses on June 9 and so on.
People are requested to carry their vaccination cards to the centers. (JAMILA HUSAIN)
