Colombo, Sep 15 (Daily Mirror) - A person will be scared to answer even an urgent call of nature outdoors under the present regime as legal action could be taken against him for environmental pollution, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Executive Committee Member Mahesh Senanayake said.

“I am of course scared to answer even an urgent call of nature outdoors considering the rate in which the present government files charges against people. We might be charged with environment pollution if we answer an urgent call of nature,” Senanayake told the media.

There's public toilets, as well as toilets in supermarkets, restaurants, shops etc which you can use even in an emergency. Answering your call of nature in public is a nuisance and inconvenience to other citizens of the country. What an absolute turd of a politician!

Yes, exactly. Clean Sri Lanka means just it. Do visit the nature before leaving home. Leaking beside the street not allowed. That is what all SJB good for, for leaking beside streets! NPP is bent on bringing the country to the 21st century, eliminating the 76-yr of feudal system of governance, and assumptions of some nincompoops at certain social circles that they are the ones with right to govern. This is the era of the common people, standing up solidly to claim their rights and equality! So, listen, no leaking beside the road by SJB or any other corrupt politician.

This is absolutely gross. One hopes that there must be political consensus that Sri Lanka needs to modernise and expand the availability of hygienic public toilets throughout the island. It is outrageous for anyone to urinate or defecate in public, as it is disgusting, grossly unhygienic, a health hazard and offensive to members of the public. So why is this politician not advocating for the improvement in the availability of modern public toilets, rather than blaming the government, in case he is prosecuted by the police for gross public nuisance?
