Refining activities at the Sapugaskanda oil refinery will resume operations in mid next week after the arrival of crude oil shipment, the Power and Energy Minister said.

He said a shipment of 100,000 MT crude oil arrived at the Colombo port yesterday and quality sampling is underway today.

Meanwhile, he said the second crude oil cargo of 120,000 MT is scheduled to arrive between August 23 and 29.

Both crude oil cargo were shipped by Russian Urals Crude Oil, the Minister said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

Most of the good work will be eaten by the massive overtime by lazy workers. SL will need to dramatically overhaul Electricity Board, Petroleum Corp, Water Board, Pharmaceutical Corp and Colombo Harbour if there is any hope of SL becoming a developed country. Ask Singapore's Prime Minister how to do it. Do it now!
