Colombo, Dec. 14 (Daily Mirror) - Former captain Sanath Jayasuriya has been appointed as Cricket Consultant to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). Accordingly, the cricketing legend will oversee all teams that attend SLC’s High Performance Centre.
The appointment of Sanath Jayasuriya marks a strategic initiative by Sri Lanka Cricket to harness the expertise and experience of one of the country's cricketing legends in fostering the growth and development of the sport. Jayasuriya, who has previously served as the Chairman of Selectors, brings a wealth of cricketing knowledge and insight to his new role as Cricket Consultant.

Slc money wasted again by appointing a useless person again. As head of selection comitee he was a massive failure. Even jokers like ministers sons got in to national lineup. We pay 30,000 for head coach and 20,000 for each consultant which is equal to 40,000 why don't we instead of hiring consultants if we have so much money and instead spend it on a better coach like Justin langer(Australia) or mark boucher(South Africa) none of this Sri Lankan coach bullshit we know how bad our coaches are

In any of these appointments there is no accountability or responsibility. See Mahela, he had his best collecting USD 20,000 per month and leaving cricket in the doldrums and silently vanish from the scene.

An interim committee was appointed by ROSHAN R after large scale fraud was reported by the Auditor General. Consequent to that a Case is pending. Can a new Minister annul the previous gazette and issue a new one and proceed to do changes with the alleged corrupt office bearers till a judicial order is made. A lawyer may be able to put us wise..
