Sallay continues treatment at Colombo National Hospital

Colombo, June 8 (Daily Mirror) - Former State Intelligence Service (SIS) Director Major General (Retired) Suresh Sallay, who was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital while being held in remand custody under a detention order, continues to receive treatment, according to hospital sources.

Sallay was hospitalised after reportedly launching a hunger strike in protest against what he claimed was inhumane treatment by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Hospital sources said he remains under medical supervision, while further details regarding his condition have not been disclosed.
