Colombo, May 8 (Daily Mirror) - Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa yesterday raised objections to the questioning of the youth, Sandaru Kumarasinghe, who spoke out against the Visa issue at the airport but avoided debate on the visa fiasco involving a foreign consortium with VFS as technology partner.
He told Parliament that the government must consider the matter involving the youth closed without dragging it. "Sandaru Kumarasinghe only expressed his opinion. In terms of the Constitution, he has a right to freedom of expression," he said.
Mr. Premadasa earlier claimed, as reported on social media platforms, that the visa fiasco could be a greater swindle than the bond scam.

The issue got highlighted because the youth spoke amd created a scene. But his reference to India was unwarranted as that could be used for political purpose. I am fully against the appointment of VFS Global for incoming visa related issues. They should have continued the e Visa process introduced when Gota was in charge of Defence. He did that with local resources. Here the Ministers may be getting a good cut from VFS Global .

Muslims will be less effected by sjb/unp and slpp , but not the spineless my3 by BJP influnce. But JVP will do more damage to muslims and the country.If modi wins there will not be any more elections in India and samething will happen in Sri Lanka if JVP wins, it will be like cuba ,there will be lot of revenge too and Modi will protect them. So who is the only and best alternative ? You decide .need someone iron but still protect democracy

Once the Election is won all none JVPers will either have to accept JVP ideology or get kicked out. Iit is foolish to believe JVP is not a extremist Sinhala only party , they founded by overseas extremist Sinhala Buddhists , Catholics and Born agains.They wont get Sri Lanka Tamil votes but they will sure get sri lanka Indian Tamil votes.

A bit confused here. Can someone please clarify this. Alles said that Parliament and Cabinet accepted the proposal. There are now objections in Parliament now which suggests that Parliament 'may not have passed' such a proposal Secondly, if the proposal was passed by Cabinet, how come the minister of Tourism said that 'he knew nothing about the proposal'. Is there any explanation to this??
