Colombo, March 9 (Daily Mirror) - Former Member of Parliament Sajin Vass Gunawardena has been arrested by officers of the Bribery Commission on charges of amassing illegal assets worth Rs. 243.8 million.

He was arrested after arriving at the Bribery Commission this morning (March 9) to give a statement in connection with the ongoing investigation into his alleged accumulation of unlawful wealth.

This corrupt infernal guy was the blue eyed boy of the former Jarapaksa regime and era and one time monitoring MP for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was a guy who assaulted Chris Nonis the former SL High Commissioner to the UK when he was on a visit to the US in 2014. He was a thug and goonda who did all the dirty work for the Jarapaksa's and their cronies.
