Colombo, May 2 (Daily Mirror) - A stock of drugs including 13 kgs of heroin suspected to belong to an underworld figure known as “Dubai Kapila” has been recovered by the Police Special Task Force (STF).
Police said the stock was recovered during a raid carried out near the Sri Jayewardenepura University in Nugegoda.
Accordingly, they siezed 13 kgs of heroin, 06 kgs of hash and 0.5 kg of cocaine. Also, Rs. 1.5 million in cash was also taken into custody during the raid.
Investigations revealed that Isuru, also known as 'Kapila', runs the country's main drug network for the large-scale drug trafficker Mohommed Shiran Basik.
A 45-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man, both residents of Pannipitiya, were arrested along with a luxury vehicle used for drug transportation. The suspects were transferred to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further inquiry.
Kapila has been distributing substantial drug quantities from a rented residence for approximately 2 years. Last week, a Ministry of Education clerk linked to drug network was also arrested in Colombo with 1 kg of heroin and Rs 4.9 million in cash.

Give them a lecture on the harmful effects of drugs on society. The possibility of them being reborn as cockroaches in their next life. Get them to sit in the naughty chair for 5 minutes, and then release them. That should make them law abiding human beings. Good Luck !!!
