Colombo, March 20 (Daily Mirror) - SSP Buddhika Manathunga has resigned from his position as Police Media Spokesperson.

It was reported that he has submitted his resignation letter to Acting IGP Priyantha Weerasuriya.

Manathunga was appointed as the Director and Media Spokesperson of the Police Media Division on December 2, 2024.

All senior Police must resign for not doing anything to arrest former IGP and continuing with corrupt and underworld friendly attitude. Minister and Deputy Minister of Internal Security must also resign for failing to improve Police.

More to follow when the case against the present IGP( Not the acting one) will be taken up for hearing. The police is responsible for not finding and arresting the IGP under court orders. They were playing "Hora Police" under the guidance of a invisible source.
