SLPP refutes claims MR disposed of supporters’ gifts
Colombo, August 21 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has dismissed social media reports alleging that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa had disposed of gifts presented to him by supporters.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the SLPP Media Unit said the claims were fabricated and based on false information.
The statement was issued in response to widely circulated posts suggesting that Rajapaksa’s team had discarded gifts citing security concerns.
