SLPP Chairman G.L. Peiris said they were ready to appoint SJB leader Sajith Premadasa as the Prime Minister.

He told media at the Parliament complex that people's wish is to join the two main parties and find solutions to the burning issues.

He said most of the SLPP MPs were ready to support Dullas Alahapperuma.

Mr. Peiris said SLPP General Secretary was yet to answer his questions regarding the statement made by him that SLPP had decided to support Ranil Wickremesinghe. (Ajith Siriwardana and Yohan Perera)

Isn't it sound ridiculers that SJB (Sajith) supporting SLPP (Dullas), while SLPP is supporting UNP (Ranil). I prefer Ranil for next 2 years as President with AKD as PM, then Ranil quitting politics

If it is the consensus political move, then SLPP member should be appointed as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, after Ranil Wickremasinghe is appointed President from the UNP. That will be a fair share the votes will consider.
