The Sri Lanka Podujana Preamuna (SLPP) will not allow the implementation of anything which is distructive. Therefore no one should be afraid of monsters created by the opposition, Chief Government Whip Prasanna Ranatunga said today.

Speaking during a programme held during the weekend to commerate his father, late Minister Reggie Ranatunga, the Minister said people should not be fooled by false propaganda.

"The opposition talks of may monsters emerging out of legislations etc. However, we like to tell the people not to be misled by them as the SLPP will not allow the implementation any disruptive measures," the minister said.

"The opposition is also shouting for an election. We have just begun to stabilize the economy. Therefore, this is not the time for an election. We are also ready for any election. The SLPP will win an election even if it is held today. President Ranil Wickremesinghe will decide when to hold elections," he added.

"We have no issues with President Wickremesinghe and will continue to support him," he also said. (Yohan Perera)

Probably , because the majority is corrupt, the opposition is useless and has been doing only destructive activities so far, so people do not like them too.
