SL adjudged as the nation with fastest vaccination drive last week
Sri Lanka ranked first in the world as the country with the fastest vaccination drive for the past week.
According to Our World in Data website , Sri Lanka had inoculated 13% of the population during the week.
Ecuador trails behind Sri Lanka with 12.5%, Brunei 11.7% and New Zealand 11.6%.
The website says it is counted as a single dose, and may not equal the total number of people vaccinated, depending on the specific dose regime.
Meanwhile, the Chinese embassy in Colombo in a Twitter message lauded Sri Lanka for the achievement of most vaccinations during week that just ended.
