SL Rupee depreciates against USD

The Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) has depreciated against the US Dollar (USD) today, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, today's buying rate of USD is Rs 301.32 while the selling rate is Rs. 316.72.

Yesterday's buying rate of USD was Rs. 299.83 while the selling rate was Rs. 314.92.

The rupee depreciation is mainly due to artificially manipulation and not much to do who can sell or buy foreign currency. Also we are not earning much in foreign trade due to poor exports productivity. It's not just one thing but several contributes to keep the rupee stable.
