SJB secures control of Seethawakapura UC

Colombo, July 15 (Daily Mirror) - The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has taken control of the Seethawakapura Urban Council (UC), following the 2025 Local Government Elections.

At the inaugural council meeting held today (15), SJB candidate Sunil Jayaratne was elected Chairman in a secret ballot.

Meanwhile, Ajith Wijayamuni Zoysa, who contested the election as an independent candidate, was elected Deputy Chairman of the council.
