SJB not willing to defend every Opposition politician penalised for crime: MP

Colombo, October 2 (Daily Mirror) - The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is not willing to defend and back each and every Opposition politician if they are penalised for serious crimes, SJB MP Harshana Rajakaruna said today. 

MP Rajakaruna came up with this remark in response to a question raised by journalists as to whether the SJB will defend any Opposition politician if such a person is arrested for a crime such as the killing of Rugby player Wasim Thajudeen. 

"Also, we will not go in for a political marriage with Opposition political parties  unless there are similarities in policies," he added.
