Colombo, April 8 (Daily Mirror) - The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) leaders will not be able to hold on to their positions for long if the membership lose their faith in them, MP Sarath Fonseka said today.
"Party leaders should think of their party membership and not their personal success," Fonseka told the media.
"A few in the SJB want to push me out, but I am not scared of them. I am a man who has confronted political giants like Mahinda Rajapaksa," he said.
He also said former President Maithripala Sirisena should not be taken seriously.
"Former President Sirisena is not focusing on issues faced by the people but playing practical jokes," he added.

Fonseka is not a party man. He is best to have is one man show. Sajith is also egotistic, but then again whole of SJB is lost lot.

Everyone in SL knows what Fonseka means when he says that he stood up against the political "giant" Mahinda Rajapaksa and ultimately won, but was MR a political giant? That would be an immense exaggeration of his person!!! He was undoubtedly a (political) giant in the abuse of power, the human rights violations, the economic damage he inflicted on the country and its people!!! Such a differentiation makes it easier to understand what MR's gigantism consisted of! Fonseka should dare to run again, considering the political dwarfism of the currently named presidential candidates!!! He has done great things for the country and should complete it politically!!!

Fonseka should join Ranil and select productive people who can work with them. It won’t be a perfect match but they will instil discipline and integrity. Once they have settled down, one team with Ranil helming it will move the country forward and maintain the status quo. The other team with Fonseka leading it will start gathering evidence for those unresolved corruption and murder cases including the Easter Bombings. As many are aware, the country is in dire straits and only politicians with experience with a team of brainy professionals in various disciplines can move the country forward. Will be challenging but it needs to start someday soon.

This fellow Sarath is a megalomaniac who wants to become the President of Sri Lanka by any means possible, he is even attacking Sirisena to get India on his side. He is trouble in every party he joins , he should be completely isolated from politics.

Fonseka should openly state and clear the doubt that he has no personal differences with Sajith n backs him for the Presidency in the forthcoming Presidential election. This will clear the minds of the stalwarts snd the supporters of the SJB. Otherwise, he will not win his election. Furthermore when Sajith takes the stage, he walks up to him either hugs him and openly makes an apology for making unwanted remarks about him. This will help him to earn the respect of other senior members of the party. Hope he takes this seriously.

Sir the party member ship has already lost the confidence of the party on the day,the A grade rouges of former MR regime was brought to the party fold with the guise of sandana. So the floating vote has swiftly turned on to the NPP camp as those who were in doubt are now certain that,SJB is the other other side of the pohottuwa coin.

SF party members have lost faith in you, your behavior is totally unacceptable. If you want to contest the Presidential elections, you better leave the SJB form your own party or get the ticket from UNP or join NPP negotiate to be their defense minister.

Luckily he got Democratic party to apply all those by himself without further disrupting and diluting the SJB. Those days, Molligoda, Eknalgoda and Madugalle did like this in 1818's and sabotaged the independence struggle of Kappatipola, Butawa, etc.

Please leave the SJB and do your own thing no body will stop you, what is your agenda , have you stike a deal with Rajapakses or Ranil to derail the progress of victory path of SJB, party has offered you the post of party chairman, when there were many capable people in the party, please show some gratitude for that.
