Like most of you parliamentarians who are a bunch of morons who don’t know what’s going on. So long you get your perks

Vote wisely or Manage Accordingly Tuesday, 13 February 2024 10:03 AM

Within the next 20 years, most of these politicians will be dead. If the voters don’t get rid of them this elections, then just enjoy the ride with them

    Try Monday, 12 February 2024 07:21 PM

Ranil has broken the SJB to bits.

    Banda Monday, 12 February 2024 10:21 PM

If someone think that they are smarter than RW in politics, they are wrong. If he could divided LTTE into two fractions, (which I know personally) what is SJB? Lol

    Typical Monday, 12 February 2024 07:23 PM

Rajitha was always working for Ranil secretly.

Sam Silva Monday, 12 February 2024 08:38 PM

Tell us who is not working for Ranil. They all work for each other but not for the country or the people of the country.

    Ima Monday, 12 February 2024 08:43 PM

It’s known fact that Rajitha senaratna is notable, notorious back stabber

The party government by SLPP already ousted along with President and PM,therefore the present parliament's validity is only for six months which should be followed by elections and it has no mandate to change constitution or pass any bills. We can challenge this SC.

"Why should we have a Presidential election if we are to abolish the presidency? That is what a person who speaks both sides of the mouth would say. Where was this politico in 2019.2015, 2010, 2000 and 2005. He should have said the same to Chandrika, Mahinda, Sirisena, and Gotabaya.

Kandiah Balendran Tuesday, 13 February 2024 02:05 AM

Bunch of clowns leeching taxpayers money.

    Ranjith Tuesday, 13 February 2024 09:20 AM

RW cannot win the presidential elections that's reason now he wants to abolish the executive presidency what a shame, for that matter UNP cannot win any elections he may have not have any elections

    Jude Tuesday, 13 February 2024 10:10 AM

Don't worry SJB, your party will be wipeout at the next Elections just like UNP was reduced to one MP.

    Gune Tuesday, 13 February 2024 10:24 AM

On the face of it, yes, Exe Presidency should be abolished before the Presidential election which otherwise is going to be a costly affair for people. How long have they been saying this? On the other hand, who can believe Sajith when Sirisena did the same and he never did anything. SL politicians should never ever be trusted and the governance of the country has to be transferred to another country if SL is to be developed.

Executive presidency is the cause of many serious issues in Sri Lanka. All the presidents who promised to abolish it have not done it because of selfish reasons. There is no possibility for any presidential candidate to obtain more than 50 of the casted votes in the next election. If RW is willing to abolish it, better support it and get it abolished once and for all. Let the country have an executive prime minister.
