Ruwan, Thalatha meet Asgiriya Mahanayaka Thera to brief on Ranil

Colombo, August 26 (Daily Mirror) - Deputy Leader of the United National Party (UNP) Ruwan Wijewardene, Party General Secretary Thalatha Athukorala, and several senior party members called on the Mahanayaka of the Asgiriya Chapter of the Siam Maha Nikaya, Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thera, at the Asgiriya Maha Viharaya this morning (26).

During the meeting, the UNP delegation briefed the Mahanayaka Thera and the Maha Sangha on matters related to former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, as well as the prevailing political and economic situation in the country.

The Maha Sangha invoked blessings on Mr. Wickremesinghe, who is currently receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.
