Russia agrees to supply refined fuel to Sri Lanka



Colombo, March 26 (Daily Mirror) - Russian Deputy Minister of Energy, Roman Marshavin, currently on an official visit to Sri Lanka, has agreed to supply refined fuel to the country following discussions with local authorities.

Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Managing Director Mayura Neththikumara said the quantity and specific orders will be finalised during further talks scheduled for tomorrow (27).

Meanwhile, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to meet Marshavin this evening (26) at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo. 

According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), the discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, including potential partnerships in fuel supply, energy security, and long-term collaboration between Sri Lanka and the Russian Federation.
