Colombo, March 11 (Daily Mirror) - Former President Maithripala Sirisena has confirmed that he has already made the required compensation payment to the victims of the Royal Park murder case.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Sirisena stated, “I have made the full payment on July 1, 2024, following the Supreme Court order.”

He further explained that he would formally notify the Supreme Court about the payment through a motion filed by his legal team. This confirmation comes after previous court inquiries regarding his compliance with the compensation order.
