Colombo, July 4 (Daily Mirror) - The All Ceylon Restaurant Owners' Association has announced a reduction in the prices of several popular food items with effect from midnight on Friday (4), following the recent cut in domestic LP gas prices.
Association Chairman Harshana Rukshan said the price of a packet of rice will be reduced by Rs. 15. Prices of fried rice and Kottu will also be lowered by Rs. 15 each.
Meanwhile, the prices of short eats, Parotta and egg roti will be reduced by Rs. 5 per item.
The Association also said a Rs. 5 reduction in the prices of both plain tea and milk tea, passing on part of the benefit of lower cooking fuel costs to consumers.
