Renovation of Pettah Central Bus stand begins

Colombo, Sep 15 (Daily Mirror) - The renovation of the Pettah Central Bus Stand has officially commenced under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Originally constructed in 1964, the station is undergoing major upgrades for the first time in 60 years. The project is expected to cost Rs. 424 million.

As part of the renovations, the facility will be equipped with modern amenities, including new restrooms, information and communication stations, enhanced security systems, and other key infrastructure improvements aimed at improving commuter experience.

Thank you for this wonderful work but we must have some good toilet felicities as well in this place. Due to our hot climate, ,it is important to keep our public toilet facilities clean always. we must charge with a small amount of money, to keep this place clan and tidy and employ some people with good salary more than 60: 000 so that they do steal any money. Fees charged from people is more than enough some people for 24 hours. So, make sure to maintain this bus stand clean and tidy. It is good our tourism and for the name of our country as well.

Colombo bus stand needs development with strategic plan, like Kandy Multi modal Hub. At least starting foundation for such a plan is worth while rather than doing minor short term renovations.
