This is planned major media show by the SLPP. This is not just one MP acting alone. SLPP were feeling on the outer when there was protest uprising against them. This to me is a rather obvious attempt to white wash Gota, with aim to give positive publicity to him. The MP says she knows there is no risk of her losing her seat, so with that in hand she can speak of action that will not happen. Beautiful sacrificing talk with no actual consequence. If there is positive feeling successfully developed in the minds of the public about Gota people may start overly forgiving him and even forget the long time wrongdoing of the Rajapaksa. That will significantly improve the chance of SLPP getting majority next parliament.

I understand this doctor was given an excellent training in the field of Ear Nose and Throat and Head and Neck Surgery in Kings Lynn Hospital Norfolk England. The training was given on the understanding that she will go back and help out and train other docs in Sri Lanka and treat the people of SL. If she had the political inclination UK would not have accepted her. She has brought a bad name to docs in SL who wishes to go to UK for training.
