Rayhan Wanniappa appointed acting DG and CEO of CAASL

Colombo, July 2 (Daily Mirror) - The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) has announced the appointment of Rayhan Wanniappa as the Acting Director General of Civil Aviation and Chief Executive Officer.

His appointment follows the retirement of Air Vice Marshal Sagara Kotakadeniya (Retd.), who previously held the position of DGCA and CEO.

Wanniappa, a long-serving officer of the CAASL since 2003, has held several key roles over his two-decade career. With extensive experience and a deep understanding of the aviation sector, his leadership is expected to further strengthen and steer the continued growth of Sri Lanka’s civil aviation industry.
