Former Minister Ravi Karunanayake said today his recent trip to the North was to look into start an investment project which will bring much needed dollars to Sri Lanka.
Mr. Karunanayake said this in response to a question raised by journalists at a public function.
“Why cant I go to North in a helicopter? I can do whatever I like, since I am not in the government. Besides one should not paint a negative picture of my recent visit to Mannar,” he said.
Asked whether he indents taking up any position in the government, Ravi Karunanayake said what is important is not to take up positions, but working for the people is what matters.
