Former Minister Ravi Karunanayaka and eight others who were remanded over Central Bank Bond Scam would be subject to PCR tests today, Prisons Department said.
Prison spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said the suspects are being kept under quarantine at the Welikada Prison premises at the moment.
He said if the PCR tests become positive, the suspects would then be sent to Kandakadu COVID-19 treatment centre.
If Negative, they would be kept at the Colombo Remand prison, the spokesman said.
The Colombo Special High Court Trial-at-Bar yesterday remanded Karunanayake and eight others till March 23.(DSB)
