Colombo, August 28 (Daily Mirror) - The reasons given by former President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s lawyers during court proceedings for his bail have ended his political future, Agriculture Minister K. D. Lalkantha said.

Addressing a news briefing, he said that the facts presented by his lawyers regarding his health condition signify that Ranil has no political future.

Meanwhile, the minister said that those who came together during the Ranil's arrest as the joint opposition are the ones responsible for the downfall of the country.

“It is a shame that they cannot unite themselves when the country truly needs political leadership,” he added.

Don't worry Mr Lalkantha. i know for certain we are soon going to see an amazing miracle and Ranil will make a full recovery. We will be told that all his blockages have miraculously disappeared. Ranil will only be ill again when he is back in the court room. This is the sad state of politics in Sri Lanka.
