I solute our policemen in this political drama : they have done great jobs in this difficult situation: thank you police force you do your professional duties well: you do what the judiciary say to you : that is the beauty of professionalism in police : no matter President or PM or MPs or ministers, police do their jobs : hand cuffed them and take them into prison bus without any hesitation : just few months ago they all have to salute them as executive now they handcuff them and put them into bus : drug them to jail : this is a historic in Sri Lankan politics : there is no any political grudge or personal matter but law is law for all : Ranil wife is a Law prof : she may have learned some thing practical now in application of law : Long life for Sri Lanka for maintaining law and order: better than England No matter who has done mistake take them under jurisdiction

When placed in custody if he fell sick he is unfit to lead the UNP. He must resign from the leadership. Many other politicians too are sick people. It is seen moment they are remanded. Such politicians must be identified and voters must not vote for them as if they fall sick for immotional distress they are unfit to do politics

The days of imprisonment period of 14 days for Ranil, a known rogue, should be counted after his treatment is over at the National Hospital and back again to the prison before appearing before the Court of Justice.

Why does he have to take and occupy a spot in the national health system ? As one RW supporter said, he and Bandaranaikes are "born rich" and have no reason to be dishonest.
