Colombo, June 13 (Daily Mirror) - Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe expressed concern over the current government’s lack of preparedness for a potential conflict in the Middle East.

He stressed the need to focus on the preemptive measures he adopted in 2024, when tensions rose between Iran and Israel last year.

How much can any country prepare for the middle east conflicts? Is Ranil suggesting Sri Lanka should produce it's own oil or build oil reserves? All countries have made the necessary allowances for long drawn ME wars. The only area that needs adjustments now are the realignment of air routes until things simmer down.
