Colombo, Feb 05 (Daily Mirror) - Independent MP Ramanathan Archchuna created a commotion in Parliament today, resulting in Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne deciding to expunge various statements he made.

The commotion took place when the MP raised a privilege issue regarding his recent arrest in Anuradhapura.

The Speaker decided to expunge degrading remarks made by the MP in the House.

Mps. represent parliament under the guise of People's Representatives ,creating commotions and disturbing parliamentary affairs should be expelled from the parliament. Speaker must take stern action against them after one or two warnings. Parliament is only to solve tpeople's problems not Mps rude behaviours and personal problems

The guy was stopped for using illegal equipment in his car. Delay was caused by him arguing with the police, instead of accepting that he was breaking the law. An MP must comply with the law; being an MP is not a license to break the law. He is trying to hide use of illegal equipment as a reason for coming to the parliament unhindered. Nasty man with a focus on drawing attention to himself and useless parliamentary business. Lock him up and IDH.

Purely an attention seeker who has more than a few bolts and nuts issues. The people who elected him should bear responsibility too. An earlier comment (from johan) about the parliament sessions are there to solve peoples and country's problems is very pertinent. This guy is simply a big waste.

Looks like NPP clowns are angry whenever someone raises their voice in the Parliament, it looks like they want them to sit there and say nothing but praising their activities such as Ministers doing road cleaning, Prime Minister going to the Supermarket , President talking with roadside kids, Jaffna girl embracing the President, etc etc , and numerous other propaganda acts performed by them. When someone questions them I'm the Parliament or elsewhere, then these NPP goons start attacking them.
