Rain in South, dry weather in most parts of island

Colombo, Feb 20 (Daily Mirror) - Thundershowers may occur in Galle, Matara, Kalutara and Ratnapura during the evening or night, while dry weather will prevail in most other areas of the island, the Meteorology Department said.

However, misty conditions can be expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-Western, Northern and North-Central Provinces during the morning.

Therefore, the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
